Fishing Trip Quality:

I arrived at the marina with great expectations for another fishing trip. The temperature had dropped in the past few days into the mid to low 20's during the night. The day time temperatures had been at the freezing mark. That is the end of the open water harbor fishing for the year. Both the marina and harbor are now iced over. The ice today is about ¾ to one inch thick. That thickness of ice is unsafe to walk on.

The marina, which is managed by a private company, is allowing the city of Kenosha to open access to the pier on the far south side of the marina. They plan to open the pier on 12/15/2003. This will allow access to fish the marina from the pier even with thin ice. Just stay on the pier and drill a hole in the ice next to the pier.
