The Hammond Marina is located on miles of sandy shoreline, adjacent to the Horseshoe Casino, and just 12 nautical miles from downtown Chicago. With over 918 slips, the marina is home to vessels of all sizes during its boating season from May 1st until October 15th. The marina has earned its reputation as first Clean Marina in the State of Indiana.

Directions:

From North

Take a clearing bearing from Four Mile Crib Light (Fl WHITE + horn, visible 9.5 nm offshore) off Chicago to "R 2" light buoy (Fl RED+RACON). At "R 2", alter course to approximately 187°T on a bearing to buoy "R 4" (Fl RED). From "R 4", a course of approximately 213°T will bring you past the Hammond Intake Crib Light (Fl WHITE, visible 5.96 NM) to the entrance to Hammond Marina.

From the East & North-East

Lay a course to the Hammond Intake Crib Light (Fl WHITE, visible 5.96 NM). Note the charted Indiana Shoals. Charts show sufficient water over them but the word 'shoals' should always focus your attention. From the Hammond Intake Crib Light, a course of approximately 208°T will bring you to the harbor entrance. The entrance is on the southeast side, marked with an Fl RED light and, on the inner pierhead, a Fl GREEN light.
