The wind from the prior day had slowed down. I had great expectations when I arrived at the marina at 6:45 am, just before sunrise. The prior evening the fish had really been active. This was not the case today. I fished for over an hour and a half without a bite. I started fishing with spoons. Switched next to crankbaits, then spinners, next drifted a tube jig below a bobber. Nothing was producing. I saw three other anglers fishing the same general area and they also had no action.

I next drove the car to the harbor area. In the entire harbor only one angler had caught any fish. He had three brown trout in the back of his car. All were caught on spoons earlier that day. I started working the harbor from the bridge all the way to the boat launch with only one hit. The wind was staring to increase in velocity so I decided to go back to the marina.

At the marina, I saw a different angler catch a brown trout using a spoon. The anglers that were there earlier, had gone home. I started fishing with different spoons then switched to crankbaits again. I caught one brown on a Storm Thunderstick. Landed and then released the fish. One fish tried for the lure and was foul hooked in the belly. That fish was landed and released. I also had two more hits without hooking the fish.
