Removing that Fishy Taste
People sometimes have complain about the fishy taste of some salmon and trout. Captain Ken from Reel Magic Charters has a solution. Prior to cooking Captain Ken recomends soaking the salmon or trout filets in Milk for 1 to 2 hours in the refrigerator. Then discard the milk, the fishy taste will be reduced. When thawing frozen fish, pour Milk into a plastic bag with the frozen fish and place in the refrigerator to thaw.
